Mectron Automated Packaging System

Mectron's Automated Packaging System features a power feed belt which supplies unfilled cartons to the inspection gate chute. As product is inspected and accepted, it passes through the gate and into the carton. After piece count is obtained, the system then shuttles the full carton over to a gravity conveyor while simultaneously bringing a new carton into the fill station. The system resets and then restarts automatically.

The integrated packaging is ideal for manufacturers who want to ensure exact piece count per carton, and also guarantee that mixed parts are not introduced during a traditional packaging method. By putting the part in the box immediately after inspection, the chance of introducing foreign product later is greatly decreased. The addition of packaging to any of Mectron's existing inspection systems provides the ultimate turnkey operation.
